Painting gold: Burlington Girl Scout earns highest award, creates mural for mental health
BURLINGTON, Iowa — There's no denying it; Kaylee Kramer is painted gold. The West Burlington High School senior has achieved the Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn. She did it by painting a mural, filled with legendary artists, at The Capitol Theater in Burlington, Iowa.

The Theatre Museum of Repertoire Americana in Mount Pleasant has been open for more than 50 years. Its collection of memorabilia and scenic pieces span the late 1800s to early 1900s, and it’s believed to have the largest collection of scenic theatre curtains in the United States.
