AHSAA SPOTLIGHT: Cold Springs senior Ethan Edgeworth sets AHSAA 3200-meter record
MONTGOMERY – Baker High School’s Myla Reed recorded the state’s fastest outdoor time in two sprint events last week, and Cold Springs High School senior Ethan Edgeworth set an all- classification record, landing the duo in this week’s AHSAA Outdoor Track Spotlight. Edgeworth ran 3,200 meters in 8:38.49, a personal record and an all-time AHSAA outdoor track and field record, to finish sixth overall at last weekend’s Arcadia Invitational in California. The previous all-classification record of 8:56.50 was set by Vinemont’s Ethan Lemons in 2023.
