Because of this, the Sunshine State's condo associations must now conduct more frequent inspections. Sometimes, these inspections result in expensive repairs from homeowners which can require special assessments. Residents of one Fort Lauderdale condo - at Springbrook Gardens - have had to pay tens of thousands for repairs. Despite this, their condos were just deemed unsafe and now they must leave.
