Magic Valley School Closures for January 17th, 2024
The Magic Valley has been under a winter weather advisory since midnight. Western Magic Valley and southern Twin Falls County were warned of a possible 2 - 4 inches of snow to add to the blizzard received this past weekend. Being forewarned doesn’t mean there won’t be a point where snowplows and preparation are enough.
Magic Valley Blizzard Causes More Closures Than Just Schools
The weather this week in the Magic Valley has been unpredictable, cold, windy, and wet, and has had many having to make adjustments. Due to the forecast, many schools have closed this week, some roads have closed, and even a few businesses. It has left children, parents, employees, employers, and everyone to adjust their schedules and figure out what is and is not open these days. On Friday high winds, and potential heavy snowfall have had some businesses deciding to call it a day and to start their weekend early. Here are some of the businesses in the Magic Valley that are closed this Friday.
Magic Valley School Closures For January 12, 2024
Winter is in full swing and Mother Nature is letting the Magic Valley know all about it. There have been a couple of winter storms blow through already, and another is set to arrive Thursday night and possibly continue into Saturday. Due to weather conditions and road conditions, it is best to stay home if possible and that is why it is likely that some schools in the area will be closed. As closures come in, the list below will be updated, but currently, here are the schools closed for Friday, January 12.

Magic Valley School Closures For January 15, 2024
The blizzard of 2024 has come and many in the Magic Valley are feeling its effects. Some have been hard at work to clear their sidewalks and driveways, while others have accepted their fate and realized it will be days before they leave the house. Due to the heavy snowfall and the below-freezing temperatures, not much snow will likely melt, leaving many stuck at home. Due to the road conditions, and the fact that it is Martin Luther King Day, schools are likely to be closed on Monday. As closures come in, the list below will be updated, but currently, here are the schools closed for Monday, January 15.
