More Summer Weather is Expected in New England Well Into September
Labor Day Weekend may have come and gone, marking the unofficial end of summer, but that doesn't mean that's the end of summer weather. In Northern New England, we’ve been lucky to experience beautiful, mild days well into September over the last few years, with even a beach day or two in October! This year seems to be following that trend. You may be safe to put the AC away for the year, but don't pack up the beach geer quite yet.
Pending lawsuit argues that inaction by Maine state leaders is stalling current climate goals
PORTLAND, Maine — A pending lawsuit filed earlier this year argues that Maine state leaders aren't abiding by state law to combat climate change. Jointly filed by the Conservation Law Foundation (CLF), Sierra Club and Maine Youth Action argue the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and Board of Environmental Protection hasn't done enough to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Maine, and subsequently meet state emission goals.
Maine’s Only Weather Predicting Lobster Gives His Winter Forecast
I mean, a lobster is probably as accurate as any meteorologist... Ok, that's not entirely fair, as meteorologists have computer models to draw from and all sorts of other scientific methods to ensure they're forecasts are as accurate as possible. A lobster has a brain about the size of the tip of a pen, so they're predictions may not seem as potentially accurate. But there are certainly times it feels like they're right on par.
Maine Will Soon Ban This Common Item That We Use Every Day
Every few years, we get a new Maine law designed to combat climate change and/or clean up our environment. A few years ago, it was a ban on "single use" plastic bags. I used quotes because most of us always re-used those plastic bags. They were super convenient for carrying lunch to work and for cleaning out the litter box. Right?

A Short Drive from Maine to Honor a New England Hero
In 1984, Christa McAuliffe was recruited by NASA for their teacher-in-space program. In media, she was beloved and admired. Her popularity tremendously amplified the heartache of the Challenger disaster in 1986. While there are tributes and memorials nationwide to the heroic Challenger crew who all tragically lost their lives when...

State of Maine employees will receive a one-time payment of $2,000 after their union took action earlier this year to improve the state’s classification and compensation plans. Popular Building Supply Chain With Locations in Maine, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts, Closing 94 Stores
When it comes to retail, the world has changed a lot in the last decade. Just a few years ago, when you wanted to buy something, you either went to the store to purchase it or you ordered it from a website. Because of the time it generally took to get something shipped to you from an online (or magazine) order, going to the store was almost always the preferred method of buying stuff.
