The Frankenmuth Eagles defeated the Bay City John Glenn Bobcats 41 – 13 in a Tri-Valley Red Conference contest. The Eagles used a ball control offense in this game by having a 34:04 to 13:56 time of possession advantage and ran 68 offensive plays to 45 plays for the Bobcats. John Glenn would open the game with an 8-play – 73 yard scoring drive, taking the lead on a Garrett Hilborn 5 yard run to take an early 7 – 0 lead. The Eagle offense countered back with a score at the 4:48 mark of the 1st quarter on a Hagan Wascher 5-yard run to knot the score at 7 – 7. Early in the 2nd quarter, Muth took the lead when Aiden Labissoniere scored on a 3-yard quarterback keeper. The ensuing Bobcats drive led to a TD on a Garrett Buzzard to Bradley Boyk 27-yard TD pass play, but the PAT was missed as the Eagles clung to a 14 -13 lead. The Eagle offense went back to work, scoring on a 13-play – 67-yard drive when Christian Paige scored on a 13-yard run. The Eagles would take a 21 – 13 lead into halftime. Frankenmuth controlled the 3rd quarter limiting Bobcats to five offensive plays. The Eagles scored twice in the quarter on two Lleyton Hoard TD runs to take a 34 – 13 lead entering the 4th quarter. Logan Deiner would score the lone 4th quarter score on a 1-yard run. John Glenn was limited to 20 yards rushing and totaled 210 yards passing. Caleb Morgan and Deiner each had seven tackles. Tanner Kroeger had an interception for the Muth defense. Frankenmuth’s offense tallied 25first downs and 428 yards of total offense with 420 coming in the rushing department. Hoard was the leading rusher with 110 yards followed by Kobbi Ke with 91 yards and Labissoniere with 75 yards. The win upped the Eagle record to 6 – 0 for the season. Next Friday the Bridgeport Bearcats will be the opponent on homecoming.
