Double red flags are flying in Panama City Beach due to strong rip currents. The double red flag indicates the water is closed to the public. Single red flags indicating high hazard and strong currents are posted in Gulf Shores. Single red flags are also posted in Destin, but beaches there also have purple flags to warn of the presence of jellyfish.
Navarre's second McDonald's planned for Navarre Parkway
A new set of golden arches could be coming soon to Navarre Parkway after a proposal to build a new McDonald’s was filed with Santa Rosa County on May 6. If approved, the new restaurant would become the global fast-food chain’s second location in the Navarre area. The only McDonald’s in Navarre currently is located at 8644 Navarre Pkwy and it’s about 10 minutes from where the new restaurant is proposed for development.
