Everything Billy Napier said ahead of Week 2 matchup against Samford
Here is everything Florida head coach Billy Napier said Wednesday, three days before his team takes on FCS Samford in Gainesville:. Okay, was just talking to the team. Obviously, we're in the middle with some adversity, and I think it's important that we have perspective here. Okay, we practiced the way we should practice today. I've got a ton of respect for the way the team work today. We need to continue to improve. We got an opportunity this Saturday to play our best football this season. It's obvious we're very frustrated with how we performed last week. There's only one way to fix that and it's to perform better this week. So credit to the players. I do think in life, sometimes we get consumed with ourselves. I've heard it said that success is when I add value to myself, and significance is when I add value to others. And I think it's important for our young people, as they go along and they pursue success and they have success as people, as students, as football players, that while they're doing that they create significance by how they do that and how they impact other people. So we also have to continue to have the right attitude and have integrity and have no divided royalties to do what we ought to do, not what we want to do. We challenged the team. And I'm excited about what I saw out there today. We have to continue to get better each week, and I do think that we've got an opportunity to be a good football team as the season goes here.

Fast forward about 72 hours, and the bulk of Gator Nation wishes Billy Napier would retreat into a basement rather than be the head coach of the Florida Gators.
Trash complaints decrease after Homewood fines Amwaste for missed pickups: ‘Long overdue’
Complaints over garbage collection issues in a Birmingham area suburb are down dramatically since officials issued fines to their contractor for bad service. Homewood in April and May fined Amwaste a total $65,500 for missed pickups. That amount was deducted from Homewood’s monthly garbage fee of $135,405. “When we...
