State issues health alert after recent rabies cases in Kansas
TOPEKA—The Kansas Department of Agriculture and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment together advise Kansans to be alert to the human health risk caused by unvaccinated animals, following a second detection of rabies in a cat in the last two weeks, according to a media release from the Kansas Department of Agriculture.
Harvey County to meet on comprehensive plan
NEWTON, Kan. — The Harvey County Planning and Zoning Advisory Board will meet Oct. 8 to review the County's comprehensive plan. The comprehensive plan is a guiding document used to aid decisions for determinations on land development, generally focused on the unincorporated areas of Harvey County. Comprehensive plans are intended to last several years.
