Police Looking For Suspect Info In Wyoming Credit Card Theft
Police in Rock Springs are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a recent credit card theft case. That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page:. ''The Rock Springs Police Department is investigating a stolen credit card case. The suspects used the stolen card at Joes Liquor on September 16, 2024. If you have any information on the individuals pictured below please call RSPD at 307-362-6575 and reference case R24-20350. You may remain anonymous when calling.''
Wyoming High School Student Arrested For Having Gun In School
Police in Rock Springs arrested a high school student on Thursday for having a gun on campus. That's according to a post on the RSPD Facebook page. According to the post, an evacuation drill was held a Rock Springs High School on Thursday. During the drill a teacher found out that a student had a gun. The teacher notified administration and confiscated the gun. Law enforcement was still on campus for the drill, and arrested the student.
23-Year-Old Truck Driver Killed in I-80 Rollover Near Wamsutter
A 23-year-old truck driver from New York was killed in a crash on I-80 / US 30 this morning at about 5:50 a.m. The crash happened in Sweetwater County at milepost 181.4. According to a preliminary crash summary from Wyoming Highway Patrol, Baljot Singh was in a Freightliner tractor trailer combination unit headed east on I-80 when the truck drifted from the right to the left lane. The driver reportedly overcorrected his steering and crossed the road to the right; the truck tripped and rolled 1/4 of a time, coming to rest on its left side facing south, blocking the right-hand lane of the interstate.
