Huntsville area Player of the Week: Wideout’s big night earns Week 7 honors
An offensive standout bound for the Missouri Valley Conference next season captured the top spot in a tight race for the Week 7 Huntsville Times Player of the Week poll. Wide receiver Jaxon Potter, who will play for Murray State after wrapping up his career with the Austin Black Bears, earned 27 percent of the 1,189 votes cast in the AL.com survey. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound senior had four catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns as Austin beat Huntsville 38-13 in a Class 7A, Region 4 contest.
