Davis Reitzel qualified for the upcoming Class 3 Track and Field Championships on Thursday with his performance in the 300 meter hurdles at the Region 3D Championships in Abingdon. Carroll County’s boys’ tennis team fell to 8-5 on the season following a 6-3 New River District loss May 13 to Radford. While the Cavaliers lost the overall match, the top-seeded duo of Jabin Talley and Ethan Richardson continued to shine for Carroll. Talley won with ease 8-2 at the No. 1 singles match, while Richardson cruised to an 8-0 victory at No. 2. The two also teamed for Carroll’s lone doubles victory as they defeated Radford’s No. 1 tandem by a count of 8-3.
