Driver hospitalized after semi crash in Kansas ditch
SMITH COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 9:30a.m. Friday in Smith County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Kenworth semi driven by Nathaniel Keith Brandt, 43, Omaha, was southbound on Kansas 8 approximately fifteen miles north of U.S. 36. While negotiating a curve, the vehicle traveled off the the roadway. It entered the west ditch and came to rest facing south.
