HEM Breaks 16 Game Losing Streak
Saturday's 1A 6-Man contest featured two teams looking for their first wins of the season and it was HEM who prevailed over Ten Sleep 67-13 in Hanna. It was a tough season for both squads but they played hard until the end and the Miners broke a 16-game losing streak in the process. Their last win was in October of 2020 with a 54-23 victory over Normative Services. Even though HEM did not qualify for the 6-Man playoffs, they did make 5 straight postseason appearances from 2016-2020.
Kaycee Makes it 3 for 3 in 6-Man Football Overpowering Ten Sleep
1A 6 Man football is loaded with good teams and Kaycee is right in there with 3 wins in 3 games following a 51-6 road win over Ten Sleep. Kaycee is a relatively young team but they have been getting super production from Vaun Pierson, Xavier Strothman, and Ruben Cleveland. The Bucs have beaten HEM and Meeteetse and they have a big rivalry game this week against Midwest.
Dubois Starts Quickly to Down Hulett in 6 Man Opener
Dubois and Hulett started the 6-man season over the weekend as they met in Ten Sleep and Dubois scored 58 points in the first half and won it going away 58-14. Dubois beat Hulett in the playoffs last season and the Rams return a super player in Wyatt Trembly who ran for 1634 yards and 26 touchdowns. In that contest against Hulett, Trembly ran the ball a dozen times for 157 yards and 4 touchdowns. The team as a group had 214 yards on the ground. Trembly had 5 solo tackles on defense and 5 assisted tackles.
