I’ve been the voice of Holley’s LSFest since its inception 15 years ago, and for the first 7 or so years of that I announced literally every competitive and demonstration portion of the event myself by bouncing around from area to area at Beech Bend Raceway Park. Over the years it has grown into an event of such scale that this just isn’t possible, so I have some help on the dragstrip and the off-road area so I can bounce between them and all the rest as needed. It’s a crazy-packed show, full of action and great stuff to see, and I often say it is a zoo that might sometimes feel like it is being run by the animals because all of us involved are enthusiasts ourselves. We do everything we can get the insurance company and track to allow, if we think it will be fun for the show and the competition. This year was no exception. Holy crap this thing was HUGE, in fact the biggest ever, and the cars, trucks, and oddities on hand were second to none. Every single type of entry for this event, from show to racing, was sold out weeks before we opened the gates. We ran thousands of autocross and dragstrip passes, jumped trucks, destroyed tires, slammed walls, and showed off rad rides. It was a good time had by all!

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – WKU Cross Country wrapped up action at the Live in Lou Classic Saturday morning. For the second time this season, Kinley Kunkel led the way for WKU, cracking the top-50, placing 48th. Senior Mary Dye followed behind in 64th place. In the men's race, for the first time this season a freshman led the way in Jake Younger.

WKU soccer earned their third draw of Conference USA play Sunday in a 0-0 draw against Jacksonville State at the WKU Soccer Complex.
