Entering the week, Drip faced visiting Georgetown High School on Tuesday, Feb. 13, before traveling to Cedar Park on Saturday, Feb. 17, to face a competitive Vista Ridge High School squad. Too little too late for Tigers
The Dripping Springs High School Tigers finished their basketball season with a flourish by winning their final three games, but unfortunate losses to Bowie and Akins in the middle cost them a playoff berth. The Tigers were 18-15 on the season and 8-8 in district. Del Valle proved to be a real thorn as they jumped out to a 23-9 lead after one and held onto a 34-30 at the half and 50-45 after three. Dripping Springs Tigers to compete at UIL State Wrestling
DRIPPING SPRINGS — The Dripping Springs High School wrestling team will be well represented at the UIL State Wrestling Championships held Feb. 16-17 at the Berry Center in Cypress. Conference 5A and 6A boys matches will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and 5A and 6A girls matches will begin at 11 a.m. Matches on Saturday will begin at 8:30 a.m. with Conference 5A and 6A boys. Conference 5A and 6A girls will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Parade of Champions will begin at 4:30 p.m. and all championships matches will follow.
