EDISON, NJ - The township council will hear an ordinance to minimize light spilling into residential properties. The council will hold a public hearing and consider adopting the ordinance at Wednesdayâs meeting. According to the ordinance, the township has received numerous complaints regarding âover-illuminationâ at residential properties. The ordinance would prohibit soffit lighting above the height of the first floor on the side yard of any residential dwelling.
