Patuxent football stuns Huntingtown with last minute play
In the final football game of the weekend and the last potential meeting between two undefeated Southern Maryland Athletic Conference teams, the Patuxent High squad upended host Huntingtown High on the last play of the game on Saturday night when senior quarterback Evan Blouir connected with senior wide receiver Evan Jones on a 46-yard touchdown strike as time expired. Bailey Mewhinney knew exactly how he was going to hold it and how fast he was going to walk with it after the Lexington Park resident was selected to present the torch during the 39th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
