Kids fishing derby set for June 8
MENOMINEE — The thirty-eighth annual M&M Great Lakes Sports Fishermen Kids Fishing Derby will take place June 8 at the Menominee Marina. The derby is free of charge and open to all children ages 13 and under. All anglers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Anglers can compete in five different classes: perch, trout/salmon, panfish/bass, northerns/walleye and all others. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Menominee American Legion. The derby takes place from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m., with a free lunch to follow.
Riverside Country Club welcomes all with new restaurant, renovations

Peshtigo students design and print out houses in seventh grade math
PESHTIGO —In their seventh grade math classes at Peshtigo Middle/High School, students have been working on volume and surface area of multiple shapes. Teacher Trevor Bloch extended his traditional math lessons to have students design their ideal homes, then make models of them with 3D printers. “During class students brought up the evolving three dimensional printer applications. Student dialogue moved into the idea, ‘How big can three dimensional printers be designed?’ Engineers are looking into increasing the scale and applicability of 3D printers,” Bloch explained. ...
UWGB Marinette Campus celebrates theatre renovations
MARINETTE — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Marinette Campus conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month to celebrate renovations at the Herbert L. Williams Theatre and the Fine Arts Gallery.
