A New Trader Joe’s Will Open Close To Missoula, Could a Montana Location Be Next?
Missoula, the store we've all been waiting for is one step closer to arriving in our fair city (maybe). Some of the best myths and legends in Missoula surround the possible arrival date of coveted businesses. When I was growing up here it was "Missoula is getting an Olive Garden!" but that has yet to materialize. After I moved back it was "Missoula is getting a Trader Joe's!" but that one might still have a chance.

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - As the UM campus empties out for the summer, I had the opportunity to visit with Dave Kuntz, Director of Strategic Communications, who explained why many students are sticking around, specifically for a new scientific course on brewing beer. “We have more than 10,000 students...

Long Time Staple to the Missoula Music Scene Says ‘Farewell’
Pull up a chair and get ready for a "back in my day" story. It was a long long time ago, when I first heard Matthew Bile play. Matthew is one of the founding members of the popular Missoula metal band, Walking Corpse Syndrome. It was so long ago, let's say 2007, and I cannot recall exactly where we were that day. It could have been a house party or the ELKS club for all I know. I just remember thinking "DAMN! These guys shred!"
A Piece of Missoula History is Getting a Third Life in New Shop
This is pretty cool and generating a fair amount of buzz. Have you heard of Funk It? It's a business that was started by Montanans, cousins, and U of M alums Markie and Chloë. They love coffee and hate waste (that's the very short version, there's a longer version here) so they started Funk It Coffee + Thrift.

Today we will take a moment of silence in memorial for one member of the show who experienced a loss unlike anything we've seen this year. Well, actually this show member experienced two losses at once:. The end of a 25-week win streak. His pride. That's right, for the first...
TMHT: Troll is a Doll Waiting for You at Missoula Humane Society
The circumstances that led to the shelter are heartbreaking. Who wants to step up and make her life a joy to live again?. It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, sponsored by our animal-loving friends at Paul's Pancake Parlor in Missoula. Janet introduced us to "Troll." She is an adorable 7-year-old small-to-medium sized dog (about 45 pounds), as sweet as they come. She is playful, loves the car, gets along well with other dogs, as she has lived with other dogs. At 7, Troll is mature enough that her wild days are behind her, and yet has lots of great years in front of her.
