This summer will feature another edition of The Basketball Tournament (TBT) a single-elimination, open-application basketball tournament which offers a $1 million dollar cash prize for the winning team. In recent years, a WVU alumni team branded "Best Virginia" has competed in the tournament, with the state of West Virginia even hosting regional play in the tournament.

Each summer, a rainbow of track and field jerseys dot the landscape at the NCAA Division 1 Track and Field Championships as some of the brightest young athletes across the globe compete in one of the most elite gatherings in the sport. Once again in 2024, amongst those colors will be the old gold and blue of the West Virginia Mountaineers.
NCAA Division 1 Baseball Championship host sites announced, full field will be revealed Monday
West Virginia's baseball postseason hopes are alive and well, and they are one step closer to being able to predict where they'll travel for NCAA Regional play. The NCAA Division 1 Baseball Committee announced Sunday the sixteen top-seeded teams which will host regional play during the 2024 NCAA Division 1 Baseball Championship this upcoming week. West Virginia, as expected, was not amongst the host sites. The host sites, alongside the program hosting each regional and their final record, are listed below.

Camp season is right around the corner. As is official visit season. Things will kick off on May 30th, with the first day of camp but, more importantly, the arrival of official visits that evening for the weekend. By the time July 4th rolls around, West Virginia's recruiting situation could be wildly different. And I do mean wildly. New commits. New visitors. New offers. Thousands of campers. Twists. Turns. All of it. Before we get there, though, let's take a few minutes to break down the current situation and what fans should be paying attention to next month. WVU Hoops extends offer to another 2026 4-star with rising interest
Coach DeVries and his staff extended a scholarship offer to 2026 guard Jonathan Sanderson earlier this week, per his X (formerly Twitter) account. The offer marks the twenty-sixth high school prospect that has received a WVU scholarship since Darian DeVries arrived in Morgantown. Assistant coach Kory Barnett gave him the opportunity.
