Perham Bids Farewell to Beloved Educator Scott Bjerke After 33 Years
Scott Bjerke, a long-serving member of the Perham Public Schools community, is retiring on April 30 after a 33-year career. Bjerke began his career in Fergus Falls as a 10th grade Health and Physical Education teacher, later becoming Dean of Students. He also coached varsity hockey, Legion Baseball, and soccer, demonstrating his commitment to student development.
Perham High School Artists Triumph at Section 6A Art Fair in New York Mills
Students from Perham High School participated in the Section 6A Art Fair in New York Mills, showcasing their artwork. Sixteen students represented the school at the event, which attracted over 130 participants from various schools.
Perham Public Schools Receives $100,000 Grant for Youth Skills and Training: What it Means for Our Students
Perham Public Schools in Minnesota has received a $100,000 Youth Skills and Training grant from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. The school is among 17 in the state to get this grant. The grant's purpose is to support the growth of programs that offer career exposure and paid work experience for students aged 16 and above. The funds will be used for staff training, development of Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum, new industry certifications, and work-based learning experiences for students.
