Porter man dies during high-speed chase
WATERFORD, Maine — The Oxford County Sheriff's Office is investigating a high-speed chase Monday involving a motorcycle in Waterford that resulted in a man's death. Oxford County Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. Timothy Ontengco started pursing a Honda Goldwing motorcycle on Route 93, or Sweden Road, at 10 a.m., officials said in a press release sent Friday.

York police investigate after fire destroys $1.3M Cape Neddick home
YORK, Maine — A $1.3 million Cape Neddick home was destroyed by fire Thursday night. No one was injured but the structure is a “total loss,” according to York Beach Fire Chief Jeff Welch.
