Zellin sends Salisbury baseball soaring into district final with walk-off grand slam
Jake Zellin’s coach told him to stay aggressive. During the biggest moment of the game, the Salisbury High School senior listened. Zellin smashed the first pitch he saw for a grand slam to left field, giving the second-seeded Falcons a dramatic, come-from-behind 7-5 victory over sixth-seeded Allentown Central Catholic in the District 11 Class 3A baseball semifinals at DeSales University’s Weiland Park on Saturday.

SHIPPENSBURG — Clark Gulycz came to Shippensburg University’s Seth Grove Stadium on Saturday with the intent of hitting 60 feet in the PIAA Class 2A shot put. Nazareth senior honored
Nazareth Academy senior Bridget Olsen was honored at the recent Upper Holmesburg Civic Association meeting. Olsen earned a full, four-year scholarship to Holy Family. She will study nursing. She was chosen based on academics and community involvement. The scholarship is part of a community benefits agreement among the Upper Holmesburg Civic Association, Holy Family and NewCourtland, for redevelopment of the former Liddonfield Homes housing project.
