A teenager has succumbed to injuries sustained in a Berks County accident last month involving a tractor trailer driver from Allentown, state police said. The deceased is being identified by police as a 17-year-old male from Fleetwood, Berks County. The teen, a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead just after 3:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at Tower Health-Reading Hospital. He died from blunt force trauma to the head and face area, police said.

Woman dies following Luzerne County fire
HAZLETON, Pa. — A Luzerne County woman died this weekend at an Allentown hospital two weeks after a fire at her home, the Lehigh County coroner's office said Monday. Lisa Thompson, 59, died from breathing in too much smoke Sept. 15 when a fire broke out at 604 Peace Street. Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio ruled her death an accident.
