Marching on Memorial Day
Members of American Legion Post 360 observed Memorial Day May 27 with ceremonies at local cemeteries followed by a parade down Waunakee’s Main Street. Spectators lined the sidewalks, applauding the local veterans and waving to the Poppy Queen and Princess, Joyce Endres and Isabelle Gordon, respectively. The parade ended at the American Legion Post, where a program was held with a salute to all departed veterans and taps, before all assembled enjoyed a potluck.
