The spring sports season is nearing an end, and this week's poll will recognize the top athletes of the past few months. Last week's winners were Morgan's Kyle Campbell on the boys side with 311 votes to New Lexington's Clay Miller with 249 and Tri-Valley's Kyler Brennen with 243, while the girls went to Tri-Valley's Kylan Brock, who had 568 to John Glenn's Alivia Boothe (558) and Philo's Makenna Staker (427).

Swope signs letter of intent to continue basketball career at Ohio Christian University
After leading Nelsonville-York to some of its better seasons in recent memory, star point guard Keagan Swope has now found his next home on the hardwood. The senior recently signed his letter of intent to continue his athletic career at Ohio Christian University. The Tri-Valley Conference-Ohio Player of the year this past season along with being named an All-Ohio Special Mention, Swope averaged 17 points-per-game to go along with 5.2 assists, 6.9 rebounds and 4.2 steals-per-game. Ohio Christian competes in the River States Conference (RSC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) when it comes to basketball. The team finished 13-16 in the 2023-24 season, reaching the quarterfinals of the RSC tournament.
