Cheesemaker boys fall to Valley Catholic
Tillamook High School’s boys’ basketball team lost its home-opener 59-41 against the Valley Catholic Valiants on December 8. The Mooks led in the early going but as the game wore on the Valiants took advantage of a distinct height advantage to limit Tillamook’s offense in the paint and outdistance the Mooks. Griffyn Boomer was the top scorer for the Cheesemakers, pouring in 15 points, while backcourt mate Tanner Hoskins contributed...

Mooks basketball welcomes new coach
A look at the recent history of the Tillamook High Cheesemakers boys’ basketball team doesn’t reveal much success. After a disappointing 2022-2023 season, in which the Mooks had a 2-10 Cowapa League record (4-17 overall) and a last place finish in the standings, they’re hoping to turn things around this year. The Mooks have a new head coach in veteran Greg Werner, who was an assistant to former Coach Johnny Begin the last four years and is hoping to start a new chapter for the...
