SPARTA, NJ – The girls lacrosse season continues as they move to the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA North Group 2 tournament after defeating River Dell on Wednesday. The third seed Spartans beat 14 seed River Dell 22-8. Moira Sweeney and Uma Kowalski each put nine balls in the back of the net. Brooke Weyant added three. Ava Capeci and Sophie Ku each netted two. Demarest promotes assistant coach to head football job
Continuity and chemistry are the major themes for new Demarest football coach Rob Petrella. The 34-year-old former assistant - and chemistry teacher - at Demarest was approved as the program's new head coach by the district’s board of education on Monday night.
