Jefferson, TX — In a surprise ceremony at Jefferson High School, I’Tasia Rainge, a recent graduate, was awarded Texas Woman’s University’s (TWU) most prestigious scholarship, the Texas Woman’s Chancellor’s Endowed Scholarship. This significant scholarship, valued at approximately $60,000, covers tuition, fees, and other expenses for four years.

Students and teachers gathered for a pep rally at Calhoun Middle School's campus on Congress Street Friday in order to bid farewell to that campus. They will move to the previous Denton High School — located on Fulton Street — for the upcoming school year. The new Denton High is located on Bronco Way off of North Bonnie Brae Street.
