Rico Damacus Smith Charged with Assault and Harassment in Carlisle, PA
On September 25, 2024, Middlesex Township Police responded to a domestic dispute at a hotel on Harrisburg Pike in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with injuries sustained from an assault. Following an investigation, Rico Damacus Smith, 27, was arrested and charged with one count of simple assault under section 18 2701 (A)(1) and one count of harassment under section 18 2709 (A)(1).

A Harrisburg caretaker accused of falling asleep while her patient wandered outside and drowned in a pool entered a plea deal Wednesday. Folake Sowami, 44, of Harrisburg, admitted in court she fell asleep while she was supposed to be watching Rosinha “Rosy” Pereira, a retired nurse who led a storied career between Mumbai, India and Michigan.
