Johnny Wactor of General Hospital Dies at 37 After Shooting
Johnny Wactor, known for his role as Brando Corbin on "General Hospital", passed away at the age of 37. His mother, Scarlett Wactor, informed TMZ on Sunday, May 26, that he was killed in Los Angeles the day before. Johnny was reportedly with a coworker when they saw three men attempting to steal his catalytic converter. Scarlett mentioned that Johnny did not try to intervene but was shot and later pronounced dead at a hospital. She described Johnny as a "loving young man" whose death has left "a huge hole in the family’s heart." Besides "General Hospital", Johnny appeared in shows and films like "Siberia" and "USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage". He exited "General Hospital" in 2022 and admitted he hadn’t fully processed his departure at the time. He told "Soap Opera Digest" that due to his busy filming schedule, he hadn't had time to reflect. After finishing his scenes, Johnny made a speech, expressing his gratitude for his time on the show and his relationships with the cast and crew. Johnny emphasized that there were no hard feelings between him and "General Hospital" for his character’s departure, wishing the show the best. He also thanked his fans for their support in a since-deleted social media post, expressing how moved he was by their reaction to his character's exit.
