North Carolina Zoo is helping to bring red wolves back from the brink of extinction
ASHEBORO, N.C. — This past Easter, the North Carolina Zoo welcomed four red wolf pups into their pack. “We've had red wolves at the zoo for going on 20, 25 years now. But the breeding program was started around 15 years ago, I believe, when we built five additional pens behind the scenes," said Animal Managment Supervisor, Curtis Malott.
