Reported tornado in Coyne Center damages several structures
COYNE CENTER, Ill. — A tornado was observed by a trained weather spotter near Coyne Center Friday morning as severe weather ripped through the Quad Cities region. According to a release from Rock Island County Sheriff Darren Hart, the area of 22nd Street and Coyne Center Road was hit by the storm, resulting in substantial damage to the Coyne family farm.
68th Annual Free Summer Concert Series Returns To Illinois
More summer fun is coming to Illinois. The City of Rock Island has one of its popular summer concert series returning to celebrate another major milestone. The Starlight Revue, a summer concert series at Lincoln Park in Rock Island is kicking off in June for its 68th year and admission is once again free. Officials from the City of Rock Island put out a press release asking Quad Citians to come dance or relax under the stars at this year’s Starlight Revue.

Scott County residents are now eligible for help from the state of Iowa after several recent outbreaks of severe weather. Davenport settlement investigation: Court rules City must release closed session recordings for judge to review
DAVENPORT, Iowa — A judge has ordered the City of Davenport to release the closed-session recordings demanded in a Feb. 7 subpoena from Iowa State Auditor Rob Sand. Sand told News 8 earlier this year that his office would be investigating three settlement agreements made with former Davenport city employees totaling almost $2 million.
