County property tax now payable
Blount County Property tax for 2024 is now payable. Payment may be made by mail or in person at the Trustee’s Office in the Courthouse, via the internet at blountcountytrustee.com or at CBBC, First Century, First Horizon, Home Federal, Renasant, Simmons Bank, SmartBank, TnBank, US Bank and United Community Bank. Customers must have their tax notice when paying at a bank. The county offers a 2% discount for payment in October and a 1% discount in November. Discounts are reflected on the invoices. Information about the Tax Freeze Program and the State Tax Relief Program is on the tax notice and at blountcountytrustee.com. For more information and a list of the requirements and documentation needed to apply for these programs or if a property owner has not received their tax notice, they may contact the Trustee’s Office at 865-273-5900.
County to vote on additional resolution inspired by Dalton case

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Athletics is raising money for people in East Tennessee affected by the catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Helene. The Vol Shop and Alumni Hall are selling shirts, stickers and hats featuring the "Mountain Strong" logo that the Tennessee football team has been wearing. All proceeds from items sold will go to charity to support flood victims.
