SALT LAKE CITY (Good Things Utah) – Ever wonder which historic sites are hiding chilling tales and ghostly sightings? There is an event just for you happening in Utah County throughout October. He calls himself a folklorist and tradition bearer, Danny Stewart, says he will guide you through a hair-raising experiences. Danny says he grew up on a haunted racehorse farm in Vineyard, Utah, where he spent most of his youth chasing after the “water monsters” that lurked in the swamp that bordered his home. These haunted experiences helped to mold him into the creative he is today. He is a traditions bearer, historian, educator, entertainer, writer and storyteller who specializes in folklore, mythology and legend, with a special emphasis on everything that is “spooky” about Utah. He is a former adjunct instructor of Humanities through the Arts at UVU and a former graduate instructor of English at Utah State University. He is the creator of The Original Provo Utah Ghost Tour, The Provo Faerie Walk, A.K A. (The Tree Minute Mile) and is currently finishing up a masters thesis with Utah State University where he is creating a Ghost Tour of Logan and surrounding areas. Danny has collected more than four-hundred pieces of local and some of his work can be found at Brigham Young University’s Library in the L. Tom Perry Special Collections.
