Woodmore Middle School principal's contract not renewed
WOODVILLE, Ohio — The Woodmore Local Schools school board Thursday passed a resolution not to renew a contract with embattled Woodmore Middle School principal Kevin Ball. The board voted on the issue unanimously and without discussion after a 10-minute executive session that followed a 20-minute public-comments session, during which a few people took the floor to speak in support of Mr. Ball. “We are observing in real time the unjust and expedient removal of our middle school principal, whom, until quite recently, has had absolutely glowing evaluations and success in our district, ” said Eric Czech, father of three Woodmore students. “... Over the last 12 years, Mr. Kevin Ball has done nothing but improve this district.” He was one of about 300 people who attended the regular board meeting, which was held at the school gym in anticipation of a larger audience.
