In WV only 1 person needs to give consent.
If you havent already, you should download a call recorder app. I personally use Cube ACR, but others do exist. In West Virginia, you are legally allowed to record any phone conversations or in-person meetings that you are a part of, without needing to get permission from the other people involved. This includes calls and visits with CPS workers investigating your case. West Virginia has what's called a "single-party consent" law for recordings. This means only one person on the call needs to consent to the recording - which can be you since you are a party to the conversation. Recording your interactions with CPS can create a clear record of what was discussed and agreed upon. Many parents choose to record to protect themselves and ensure important details are not miscommunicated or forgotten later on. However, you should inform the CPS worker at the start that you plan to record, even though their consent is not legally required. This shows transparency on your part. Although, this is entirely up to you. The important things are: 1) You can legally record as long as you are a participant in the conversation. 2) Inform CPS you intend to record for your records. 3) Don't secretly record conversations you are not involved in. Recording can help ensure an accurate record, but should be done properly per West Virginia's single-party consent law. WV make this make sense!!!
According to point #7. Anyone with a 4 year degree that had a felony over 5 years ago need a job? Only requirement is you must love kids. Let me get this straight, a felon can't keep their kid, but a felon can decide if a felon or nonfelon can keep their kid? Big brain moves here in WV. §30-30-16.
