Lowndes County STING Unit Conducts Drug Bust, Seizes Firearms and Drugs
The Lowndes County Narcotics STING Unit executed a search warrant on September 27th,2024 that led to the arrest of two individuals residing in the home. According to a press release from Lowndes County, the residence, 202 Pandora Drive in Columbus, has been under investigation for the last several weeks due to suspicion of drug distribution. Upon entry into the residence, the agents were able to seize dosage units of MDMA and prescription medication that was being sold, paraphernalia, a significant quanity of cocaine, and U.S. currency. Three firearms were also recovered at the residence. Two were semi-automatic handguns and one was a revolver-style gun.
Former detective asks judge for acquittal of federal fraud convictions
OXFORD – A former West Point Police Department detective found guilty of two counts of fraud last month has asked a federal judge to acquit him of both charges. Ramirez Ivy, 42, remains free on bond pending his sentencing, where he faces up to 60 years in federal prison. FBI Offering Up to $5,000 Reward for Info about a Man Deemed "Armed and Dangerous"
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has issued a federal arrest warrant for Marcovts Channing Olando Triplett. According to a press release from the City of Louisville Police Department, Triplett's warrant was issued in the United States District Court, Northern District of Mississippi, Oxford, Mississippi. The warrant was issued after he was charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and felon in possession of a firearm.
Five Men Wanted in Lee County for Failing to Register as Sex Offenders
Five men are wanted in Lee County by Lee County Sheriff's Department for failing to register as sex offenders. According to a press release from Lee County Sheriff's Department, five men ranging in age from thirty four to sixty two are currently being searched for due to their failure to register themselves as sex offenders.
