Scottsbluff police respond to vehicle vs. bicycle accident
On Friday October 4 at 3:03 PM Scottsbluff Police were notified of a vehicle versus bicycle crash with injuries at the intersection of 5th Ave and East 26th Street. Investigation showed that a silver 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup driven by Juan Gonzales Juarez, age 58 of Scottsbluff, was south bound on 5th Ave crossing E 26th St. At the same time a bicycle ridden by Samantha White Hawk, age 22 of Scottsbluff, was west bound on East 26th St crossing 5th Ave. White Hawk ran into the driver’s side of the pickup.

Wheatland Off-Range Corral Holding Last In-Person Adoption Event for up to 30 Wild, Untrained Horses
On Friday, October 18, up to 30 untrained wild horses will be available for adoption or sale. This is the Wheatland Off-Range Corral's last in-person adoption event of the year. If interested you can preview the horses from 8 a.m. until the competitive live auction begins at 9 a.m. Bids will start at $125. Animals not placed during the auction will be available on a first come, first serve basis until noon.

The Cross Country season is heading down the stretch with teams tuning up for regionals and the state meet later this month in Cheyenne. Wheatland played host to a small meet on Friday and for the ladies, Wheatland sophomore Raelyn Goff set the pace with a time of 21.30.10 with Makinzea Lynch of Rawlins placing 2nd in 21.50.90. In the 3rd spot was Faith Fischer of Rawlins with a clocking of 21.5810, Allison Renstrom of Douglas was 4th and Sarah Hedum of Cheyenne South was 5th.
