Smalls Sliders, a fast-casual miniature hamburger chain, is vowing to "slide thru" the Panhandle with a restaurant set for Tallahassee.

The Louisiana burger franchise operates all of its restaurants out of converted shipping containers, but still provides customers with limited outdoor seating options if they opt to eat at the restaurant rather than going through the drive-thru.

The chain literally drops into town when a large crane places the box at the site of a future burger destination.

The chain is making its Florida debut in Pensacola, Panama City and Ocala. As of Monday, other sites in Florida have not been selected but do include Tallahassee, according to a PR representative with the company.

"Having been in the hospitality industry for decades, we knew Smalls Sliders was a special brand that we wanted to continue growing with," Florida's franchisee Doug Cone of DPC Smalls Investments, a Florida based operating group, said in a news release shared Monday with the Tallahassee Democrat.

"We are thrilled to expand our footprint with Smalls as it continues to achieve record-breaking growth."

Smalls Sliders founder, Brandon Landry, who also founded sports bar and eatery Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux that has a location on Capital Circle, is planning to bring the Atlanta-based sliders chain across the Panhandle.

Cone has agreed to open 12 "Smorange" colored "Cans," which is how the company describes the shipping containers that they plan to sprinkle from Tallahassee to Jacksonville.

The company has over 300 "Cans" operating or under development across the nation's southeast.

News of the company's growth has circulated on a social media food group, Tallahassee Foodies, with many inquiring about what Smalls Sliders is and what it has to offer.

Representatives from the establishment hushed all the speculation in the comment section the post saying, "Get ready for us to SLIDE THRU!" and boasting that they offer the "world's best cheeseburger sliders and queso fries."

Highlights from the Smalls Sliders menu

The restaurant's classic slider, the main draw of the operation, is made with beef patties, American cheese, pickles and an orange-hued "Smauce" (their signature sauce) on a buttered bun.

Two other variations of the slider are available as well.

The "Biggie Smalls with Bacon" is the original slider but with double meat and double cheese, decorated with bacon strips.

A grilled cheese sandwich, thick waffle fries made of Russet potatoes with optional queso and milkshakes are also on the menu. If the bite sized delicacies aren't enough to eat on their own, they also have slider combos to pair with a beverage.
