Being a Florida State Seminole means a bit more for four-star Greg Thomas, who is the latest player to commit to the ACC program

He will be according to Hayes Fawcett of On3, the first member of the Seminole tribe to ever play for Florida State.

Thomas is a four-star defensive back and the No. 190 player in the nation according to 247Sports. He is ranked the No. 17 safety prospect in the nation and the No. 23 overall player in Florida’s class of 2025.

He plays for American Heritage (Plantation, Florida).

Committing on Sunday, Thomas was quick to provide a reminder on his social media of how deep his Seminole roots go. He found a picture of himself dating back to elementary school posing with Tavares McFadden.

McFadden is a former Florida State defensive back who spent two years in the NFL and currently is in the CFL:

Thomas chose Florida State over offers from Clemson, Duke, Illinois, Louisville, Miami, Pittsburgh and Wisconsin among others.
