Florida State baseball' s ace pitcher Jamie Arnold is representing his country well.

The sophomore left-handed pitcher was part of the staff of the USA Baseball National Collegiate team that threw a combined no-hitter Tuesday.

Team USA defeated Chinese Taipei, 9-0, during the International Friendship Series at First National Bank Field in Greensboro, North Carolina.

It was the first time since 2015 that the Collegiate National Team had thrown a no-hitter.

Arnold, along with Tyler Bremner (UC Santa Barbara) and Alton Davis II (Georgia) finished with a combined 14 strikeouts.

Arnold started on the mound for Team USA. In four innings, he struck out seven batters.

Team USA has started off the summer league 4-0.

Arnold was 11-3 for FSU this past season with a 2.98 ERA, which finished the season 49-17 and was a semifinalist in the College World Series. He had 159 strikeouts on the year.

He was one of three Seminoles who made the first-team All-American team from Perfect Game, D1Baseball, the NCBWA, and ABCA and was a second-team choice of Baseball America.
