Tallahassee police investigating 'suspicious death' along Mill Street

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a "suspicious death" that occurred early Tuesday morning.

At 7 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Mill Street where a man was found dead in a ditch.

"At this time, detectives are working to determine the circumstances of the incident and manner of death," a TPD spokesperson wrote in an incident alert. "It is unclear if foul play is suspected in this case." The update provided no other details but the case remains an open and active investigation.

Detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident, but did not speak with an officer on scene, to call 850-891-4200. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS.
