The 2024 MLB Draft has concluded , and Florida State baseball had its most selections since 2017.

In the final rounds on Tuesday, Yoel Tejeda and Conner Whittaker heard their names called in the 14th and 15th rounds respectively, meaning eight Seminoles were selected over the three days of the draft. Tejeda was selected to the Washington Nationals and Whittaker was picked by the Cleveland Guardians.

The selections of Tejeda and Whittaker mean they join James Tibbs III , Cam Smith , Marco Dinges, Jaime Ferrer , Carson Dorsey and Gavin Adams as members of the 2024 Seminoles roster to be drafted.

This is the most selections since the Seminoles had nine in 2017

Alongside the eight members of the 2024 roster selected, the most in the ACC, the Seminoles saw eight commits between junior college and high school selected in the draft, the most in the nation among college baseball programs.

While it is unlikely that FSU will lose all eight commits to the draft, the Seminoles could lose a couple of players to the majors depending on deal structures. Players have until Aug. 1 to make a deal with the organizations that drafted them.
