Tallahassee coffee shop Lucky Goat to have Saturday grand opening of Indianhead location

Going on 14 years in business, Lucky Goat, the locally-owned coffeehouse chain, is encouraging java lovers and caffeine fanatics to join in on the festivities this Saturday at the grand opening of its Indianhead neighborhood location.

"This new café (its sixth location) represents the continued growth and commitment of Lucky Goat Coffee to provide exceptional coffee experiences to the Tallahassee community and beyond," the company said in a release.

As previously reported in the Tallahassee Democrat, the homegrown business has taken over the location of the former Vertigo Burgers and Fries on East Lafayette St, which closed in March after 13 years of operation.

The new store will continue Lucky Goat's tradition of catering to families, students and the city's bustling workforce by offering cold and hot brews, espressos, teas, lattes, sweet treats and other retail items.

Lucky Goat operates five other locations: Bannerman Road, Capital Circle Northeast, Market District, Midtown and South Adams, according to its website.
