One injured in Shorter Independence Day celebration shooting
TUSKEGEE − A man was shot Saturday and three men have been arrested after an incident at a Macon County Independence Day celebration. District Attorney Mike Segrest confirmed the shooting, which happened during the Shorter Liberty Day Festival that was taking place at the Old Shorter School. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries, authorities said. The Advertiser has contacted the Macon County Sheriff’s Office to confirm the names of those arrested and the nature of the charges.
