Video surveillance shows Love stabbing the teen 18 times and then trying to throw her over a fourth-story balcony.

CBS reports that the teen, only identified as D.J., was able to escape the brutal attack and ran to the third floor, where police found her. The victim had stab wounds to her face, neck, shoulders, arms and legs.

Love remained on the fourth floor, where CBS says he was taken into custody by Miami Dade Police.

According to CBS, the victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

Witnesses tell the news station that several flights were arriving at the time of the incident, and people were either trying to help the victim or running away in fear.

CBS reports that Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Mindy Glazer ruled there is probable cause for attempted first-degree murder.

Love was ordered to have no contact with the victim either directly, indirectly, or through 3rd-persons, in writing or by telegraph, or through 3rd parties, and no contact with the victim through social media or electronic means and must stay at least 500 feet from her.

Love was also ordered to stay away from Miami International Airport.

According to Miami-Dade police, both Love and the victim, are homeless and happened to be at the airport. It is unknown whether Love, and the victim know each other.
