Former Tampa Bay Lightning forward Mathieu Joseph is on the move again. According to Bruce Garrioch, the Ottawa Senators are trading Joseph and a third-round pick to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for future considerations.

Joseph, 27, had been the subject of trade rumors since the start of this offseason and is now officially being moved. The Chambly, Canada native should now be a solid part of the Blues' middle six as they continue their retooling period.

After posting just 18 points in 56 games in 2022-23, Joseph bounced back this past season, recording 11 goals, 35 points, and 105 hits in 72 games. If he replicates this kind of play with the Blues, he should be a nice addition to their roster.

Joseph appeared in 221 games with the Lightning from 2018-19 to 2021-22, recording 37 goals and 70 points in 221 games. His time in Tampa Bay came to an end when he was sent to Ottawa in the trade package to land Nick Paul.
