Tampa Drivers: Kennedy Boulevard Closing For Railroad Repairs Sunday

TAMPA, Fla . – Expect delays around Kennedy Boulevard (SR 60) at Willow Avenue starting this Sunday, July 7th, at 9 pm!

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close the intersection for five days to allow CSX to perform railroad track repairs (weather permitting).

Gear up for heavy traffic: This closure will likely cause congestion on the designated detour routes, West Cleveland Street and West Platt Street.

Avoid the hassle . Consider using alternative routes like Swann Avenue or I-275 to bypass the closure altogether. Electronic signs and detour markers will be posted to guide drivers.

Pedestrians, you’re good to go . Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the construction period.
